KATRINA
CVT
Katrina grew up in Nampa, Idaho. She has always loved all animals and brought home more strays than her mother would have liked. She worked at a veterinary clinic in Caldwell, Idaho from 1993 to 2009. She became a certified veterinary technician in 2001. Katrina moved to Rigby with her family in 2009 and began working at our clinic in 2012. She is our head technician and inventory manager. She and her husband have six children. They have 3 dogs, 5 horses, fish, tarantulas, and several outdoor cats. She enjoys the outdoors, going camping, taking walks, visiting the ocean, and finding free moments of peace and quiet to read a mystery novel.
NICHOLLE
CVT
Nicholle graduated from the College of Southern Idaho in 2010 and began working for us in 2015. She enjoys working with large animals, especially cattle when the weather is nice!
Nicholle lives in Ririe with her husband and their three children. She raises Cardigan Welsh Corgis and helps her husband with his family ranch, Meadow Vue Ranch in Island Park. She stays busy outside of work with her kids, the ranch, and their bucking horses. She enjoys riding horses and going to concerts – exclusively country music concerts.
TORIE
CVT
Torie grew up on a small farm in Newdale, Idaho where they had pigs, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, rabbits and anything else that she could convince her mom to let her bring home. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls in May 2021 and started working for us right after that. While at school she worked with the Fish and Game to help care for injured raptors such as owls, hawks, and vultures. She enjoys spending her time with her dog, Opal, and being in the outdoors.
CASEY
Veterinary Assistant
Casey has been with us since 2017. She has been working as a technician since 2011.
She enjoys working with large animals and assisting in surgery. Her favorite part about working at Upper Valley is the friendships she’s developed with her co-workers. She lives in Menan with her husband and 3 children. They raise Wirehaired Pointing Griffons and Quarter horses. Outside of work, Casey and her family enjoy all nature has to offer, Hunting big game, fishing, shooting bows, Team Roping, and camping.
MADI
Receptionist
Madi was born and raised in the Rexburg area. Her love for animals came from raising pigs, horses, and cows from a young age. She started working for us at first doing kennels then we hired her as a receptionist in May 2021. She enjoys doing things outside including hiking, camping, and watching baseball.
CASSIE
Groomer
Cassie grew up in Arizona and Utah and moved to Rexburg in 2014. She did an internship while in Utah at a grooming salon in 2012 and has been grooming ever since. She began grooming for us in April 2016.
She loves living in Idaho and enjoys her slower-paced, country life style. Her pets include a dog (Wiley), a horse (T-Bone), and a miniature horse (Rusty). Cassie’s favorite things to do are riding horses, hunting, fishing, camping, taking drives through the mountains and just about anything outdoors.
MATILDA
I Grew up with a mother who brought home any injured animal that showed up at the clinic. My childhood pets include dogs, cats, birds, cows, horses, goats, and even an iguana. My favorite was raising and rehabilitating baby squirrels. I love any outdoor activities including trail riding, camping, and hammocking. I love all types of animals and own a cat named Rumpleteazer from the 80s musical “Cats”.
